Grand Prix trainer and Author Rose Caslar Belasik and Hollyhurst Farm LLC are partnering to present a series of unmounted lectures this fall and winter on dressage topics. Our goal is to provide enjoyable, interactive, educational evenings with light refreshments, all in the lovely setting of Hollyhurst Farm’s “123 Clubhouse.”

 

Registration is limited, so sign up today!  Dates and lecture topics are below. All lectures will begin at 6.30pm for approximately 90 minutes and are $45 each. (Pre-registration is required, no refunds will be issued except in the case that the organizers must cancel, and rescheduling is not an option.)

Nov. 13, 2024:  Thoroughness in Your Horse and Riding

What is thoroughness, besides a wonderful feeling? Why is it important, and how can we develop it?

 

Dec. 11, 2024: The Rider’s Seat in Canter

How does the rider’s seat differ in trot and canter? What is the best way to use your seat to help your horse canter better? What is the relationship between collection and the rider’s seat in canter?

 

Jan. 15, 2025: Pilates Basics for the Dressage Rider

This one will be fun! Dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat for some biomechanics discussion and light interactive Pilates basics for riders.

 

Feb 5, 2025: Magical Thinking: Riding Theory and Dressage Practice

What system are you using to train? Is your dressage adding up? Does your practice make sense athletically and theoretically?

 

March 5, 2025: Rider’s Choice: Participants Select the Topic!

As the winter lecture series develops, we’d like to hear from our participants about their questions and areas of interest. Rose will take suggestions at prior lectures and develop a Rider’s Choice Topic to finish out the series.
